IPMUN Privacy Policy

Preamble

This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data in relation to the use of the website www.ipmun.cz ("Site") and in relation to participation in the "Independent Prague Model United Nations" event ("Services") ("Policy").

The processing of personal data is always carried out in accordance with applicable law, namely Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the European Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"), and Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data, as amended.

The data manager is the institute InstiEd z.ú., registered at Zenklova 24/54 Libeň, 180 00 Prague 8, ID No. 17866383, registered in the Federal Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, file number U 1118 (hereinafter referred to as "InstiEd").

Subject rights

You have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data as its subject, or to request its deletion or restriction of processing, or to object to it and lodge complaints.

As a data subject, you have, among other things, the right to rectification or completion of the data, access to the data and the information and rights set out in the GDPR.

Site data usage and storage

The data is processed for the purpose of sending commercial communications and marketing content, setting up and managing user accounts, fulfilling legal and contractual obligations and ensuring the quality of the services offered.

We only use the necessary cookies on the Site. These cookies may include information directly about you, your individual preferences or the device you use. These cookies are necessary for the functionality of the Site.

We make the data we store available to technology partners to improve communication and marketing and to partners working with us on the analysis and technical implementation of the Site.

Services data usage and storage

If you are interested in the Services, InstiEd will also process the personal data and information you provide to it hereunder for a period of three years for its legitimate interests, to comply with the law and to meet its obligations. Such information provided to InstiEd must always be true, accurate, not misleading and whoever provides it must have the legal authority to do so.

If you use the Services, you consent to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of maintaining customer lists and records and the transfer of such information to ensure the day-to-day running and operation of the project, the transfer of data to government organisations, authorities and partners to ensure the day-to-day operation of InstiEd, or the transfer of data to InstiEd. For the purpose of providing information for the purposes of its financing, transferring data to third parties ensuring the operation and activities of InstiEd and its projects, creating promotional and informational materials containing basic personal data as well as photographs and recordings of the activities of InstiEd individually or in a group, sending information about projects, activities, services, competitions and other activities of InstiEd and its partners beyond the scope of normal activities within the scope of contact data. You give this consent for a period of ten years after you have used InstiEd services, unless a legal obligation to retain certain personal data for a longer period is provided for by law (in which case you give your consent for that period).

Unless otherwise specified for such a situation, we will retain your personal data for one year unless a longer period is required to comply with the law or for the smooth provision of services. Once the purpose for which the personal data was processed has passed, InstiEd will dispose of the personal data. Data provided by the User to third parties through the Site may be retained for longer periods of time.

Each user of the Site declares that they have read these terms and conditions and, in the case of consent to the processing of personal data, accepts them without reservation.

This Policy shall be valid and effective on the date of publication, i.e. 14 September 2023, and any changes may only be made by InstiEd, and any change shall not terminate any relationship formed on the basis of the terms and conditions in force at the time the relationship was formed.
